What exactly is Ceramic Nonstick Coating?
Ceramic nonstick cookware features coatings made from natural materials like silica (derived from sand). Unlike PTFE-coated pans, ceramic coatings are heat-cured and contain no plastic-based chemicals. At Homebody, we use Swiss-made Xeradur 5 as our ceramic nonstick coating — it’s 40% thicker and more durable than standard ceramic coatings, offering superior performance and longevity. This makes them safer for daily cooking, offering a toxin-free, nonstick surface ideal for low-oil meals and easy cleaning. Learn more about our ceramic coating.
What is PTFE Nonstick Cookware and is it safe?
PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a plastic-based compound used in traditional nonstick pans. While effective at preventing sticking, PTFE may release harmful fumes at high temperatures. That’s why all Homebody cookware — including the Super Pan — is PTFE-free, offering a safer, non-toxic alternative. Read more on PTFE and PFOA and why it is not safe for cooking
What are the dimensions and capacity of the Super Pan?
The Super Pan measures 26cm in diameter and 8cm deep, with a generous 3.8L capacity. It's ideal for everyday meals, from eggs to veggie stir-fries — making it a versatile choice for home cooks cooking for 2 to 4 people.
Is the Super Pan compatible with Induction cooktops?
Yes — the Super Pan is designed to work seamlessly with all stovetops: induction, gas, electric, ceramic, and halogen.
Is the Super Pan oven-safe?
No, the Super Pan is not oven-safe due to its ergonomic, stay-cool handle which is not designed for high-heat environments. If you're looking for something oven-friendly, our Super Pot is oven-safe up to 260°C (500°F) and perfect for stovetop-to-oven meals.
What types of cooking can I perform with the Super Pan?
You can use the Super Pan for sautéing, shallow-frying, scrambling, stir-frying, and more. It’s perfect for low to medium heat cooking and requires little to no oil. Explore recipes on our blog

What safety certifications or tests does Homebody Cookware have?
The Super Pan is SGS-certified, meaning it has passed independent testing for food safety and quality. SGS is a world-renowned inspection, verification, testing, and certification company based in Switzerland. It ensures our cookware meets global benchmarks for non-toxicity, durability, and safety. We’ve also tested our products against U.S. FDA standards to confirm they are free from PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium. Our Swiss-made Xeradur 5 ceramic coating from ILAG also undergoes extensive safety and performance testing.
How should I care for and clean the Super Pan?
Always let the pan cool before washing. Hand-wash with mild soap and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads and high heat, as these can shorten the life of the ceramic coating.
Is there a warranty for the Super Pan?
Absolutely. The Super Pan comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects. View our warranty policy , or contact us directly at carecrew@letshomebody.com with your order info if you need help.
